Co-existing with Urban Wildlife

Bats In Your Belfry
Tips On Co-Existing With Urban Wildlife

PREFACE
We in Southern California are blessed with many native species of wild mammals and birds. There are a few species more visible than others as they have become "urbanized". These animals have been forced into co-habitating with humans due to the loss of their own habitat. The purpose of this booklet is to provide the reader with an insight into the characteristics and behavior of some of these animals, and to provide you with information which may be useful in avoiding conflicts with them.

In this regard, we have provided details, only of those animals who are most commonly encountered. We've also included some general information that may prove helpful in co-existing with all wildlife in general as well as information on dealing with those found to be orphaned or injured.
