What to do and not to do if you find... Injured or Orphaned Wildlife
Put in small box or container
Keep it warm, and in dark, quiet room
Immediately call a wildlife specialist (listed below) for instructions or transportation to a wildlife Facility. |

Attempt to feed or give liquids (without proper instruction from Specialist), there are many misnomers regarding the above and you may cause the death of the animal or bird.
Allow excessive human. contact as the wildlife may be in, shock, and exposure could cause deeper shock or death. Minimize contact as much as possible. |
FOR INJURED OR ORPHANED WILDLIFE The Fund For Animals Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, located on Highland Valley Road, 1 mile west of Hwy. 67. Click for directions.
If you will be bringing injured wildlife to the facility after 5 p.m., call to insure that the gate will be left open.
If you encounter a wild animal that you are unable to handle, please call us immediately at (760) 789-2324.
